OCT Retinal Scan
We offer the iVue OCT Scan with complete retina, optic disc, RNFL & GCC, and anterior segment scanning.
OCT is a non-invasive imaging technique relying on low coherence interferometry to generate a live, cross-sectional image of ocular tissue. Cross-sectional visualization is useful in the identification and assessment of retinal abnormalities. OCT also provides a quantitative and repeatable method to evaluate surgical and pharmacological interventions. Dr. Bermudez uses the OCT to identify and follow some of the following types of abnormalities:
- Psuedoholes
- Retinal Holes
- Vitreomacular Traction
- Neurosensory Detachments
- Pigment epithelial Detachments
- ARMD
- Cystoid Macular Edema
- Glaucoma
